Stage 2 of the Upcoming Tour of Britain in Lancashire and the Northwest Skirts Through Longridge with sprints in the Lancaster area

I was out pounding the road tonight when I saw a suspicious yellow sign up near Inglewhite, Lancashire. It helpfully read, as I sped past, that in just a couple of weeks or so on Monday 12th September the mighty peloton would be following a similar route for the Tour of Britain as it passes through the Northwest on the way to Blackpool.
Of course, they would be doing at least twice my speed at that point, and have already made the journey from Kendal, passing through a category 2, a category 3 climb, and 3 sprints, one of which is through Caton near Lancaster, which I know a few of my facebook friends would like to know.
One of the cat 3 climbs is positioned around Grizedale just to the left of the forest of Bowland.

Today the weather is really bad, the day the race was due to pass through here. Is it delayed, or abandoned? It’s certainly windy, and the run in into Blackpool will likely be worse. So we won’t have the pleasure: shame.
