I mentioned earlier today that I really wanted to get my head around bike mechanics and repairing. I guess that at the bottom if all this is that I would like a Boardmans. Boardmans get the best reviews, lightest frames, everything is good.

But it’s my issue with Halfords that is the problem! Ok, I won’t moan again. I really wish they could build bikes to a regular shop standard.

And I wish that when I ask if they could service it and do their first service check they didn’t tell me they were busy for the next 3 weeks and I would have to wait.

In short, if I could do the mech sufficiently to build the bike I would get it ordered straight to my home and DIY!

So I got rather excited earlier on today when bike198.com revealed a whole series if intended tutorials.

Splendid. Maybe the boardmans is back on…
